In this fun ‘Pet-An-Thropic‘ program, your teens will work together to build and donate much needed supplies for local animal shelters. Wouldn’t your group enjoy helping animals in need AND have fun at the same time?
Millions of animals end up in one of over 5,000 shelters nationwide each year. Many of these facilities need help with caring for our beloved family members before they are adopted. Your team can help these animals in this one-of-a-kind team building event, which supports a local animal shelter with much needed supplies. Paws for a Cause combines team building, com-PET-ition, and most of all teamwork to gain supplies to make a dog bed, pull toy and cat scratch pad or pet gift basket for donation.
It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to take part in a unique team building event, especially one in which you are supporting the canines and felines at your local animal shelter. Through a combination of pet-themed games, trivia, and word challenges, teams will earn points-points that allow them to come up to the “Pet Store” and obtain supplies, which are used to create the items being donated. In the end, points will be tallied and a winning team will be decided, but the real winners are the animals you will all be helping.
• Bonding through a Common Goal – This program will help to promote team camaraderie and passion around a shared vision for others.
• Understanding and Appreciation – A powerful reminder that by giving of our time and efforts, we will also enhance our perspective of others needs.
• Processing Experiences – The positive effects of this program can transfer to your school or community, as this emotional gift-giving helps to raise morale and increase team motivation.
The Dog Bed, Pull Toy, and Cat Scratch Pad and/or the Pet Gift Basket will be donated to an Animal Shelter. You can choose the shelter or we can coordinate with a local shelter. Often, we are able to arrange for someone from the shelter to accept the donation at your event.
Want to do more – consider the Do Good Bus which may be able to coordinate a day for your team to help a shelter on-site.
