Silent Disco Dance Party!

Mum’s the word! Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphones worn by your party guests! ROCK ON!

Your group can DANCE, and onlookers won’t hear a thing! The Silent Disco is a concept where party goers are provided with personal wireless headphones which can be tuned in to listen to one of three DJs. There are no traditional speakers. Guests can switch channels on their headphones to listen to the DJ of their choice. The participants at any time can SWITCH BETWEEN THE DJ’S at the touch of a button. The end result is a couple of hundred people all singing and dancing together but to DIFFERENT MUSIC! Typically, the DJs will play different genres of music simultaneously. The headphones are color coded and switch to neon blue, green or red (typically, two DJs are used) depending on the DJ the guest is listening to. That way, your guests know who is listening to their DJ! (headphone equipment may vary) The concept of a silent disco earns its name because any outsider walking into the party won’t hear a sound! Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing. To the curious onlooker, it appeared as if people were dancing sans music. This event makes for some great people watching!

We have to say, chaperones and teachers are all in favor of Silent Disco!

Some ideas

Throughout the night, some fun games and competitions can be added. A popular way to utilize the multiple channels is to have a DJ Battle. During a battle, two or three DJs play at one time. The audience can switch between the DJs and listen to the music they like best. At the end of the event, the audience votes on who the winner is. This ability to provide various types of music can greatly increase the demographic of your event.
Your group can also submit song requests prior to the event, or suggest competitions you would like us to consider.
