Tools for Schools – Give a Kid a Backpack!

Tools for Schools program is a fun, interactive, and productive way to not only bring your group closer together, but unite them toward a common goal of helping your local community or the one you’re visiting.

This hands-on team building event challenges your students to fill a backpack with vital school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, erasers, and more that will eventually be donated to those in need. But, it’s not as simple as picking up the items and putting them in a bag – your team members need to earn their items through creative mental and physical team challenges that require teamwork, effective communication, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

For those of you looking to host a teambuilding program, one of the best feelings an organization can feel as ONE is the feeling of giving back. Why not give back to the future generations who could one day be leading your organization? Give others the opportunity to learn, while you learn something new about yourself and those around you.

Program length and complexity will be tailored to fit your specific timeline. We’ll bring everything needed to fill the backpacks… you bring the tissues. The Tools for Schools program allows you to build teamwork as you create and fill backpacks to donate to a well deserving group of kids.

If your group is touring you can have the option to bring the filled backpacks back to your hometown and distribute them to your own community. A great suggestion is to have someone from a local school come in and collect the packs once you return with them.

Some ideas

This is a great indoor teambuilding activity that works well combined with a meal or on its own.

Have more time? We can combine Tools for Schools with our Do Good Bus, and after your group fills packs we can drop them off at local schools, or perhaps fill onsite.
